Chief Secretary Pankaj Kumar gets 8-month extension in service

Gandhinagar: Pankj Kumar, IAS (1986 batch), Chief Secretary to Government of Gujarat has been granted 8 months extention in service from 1st June 2022 to 31st January 2023 by the State government. Pankaj Kumar was going to retire on 31st of May this year. Gujarat is going to witness regular election of State assembly in December this year. Pankaj Kumar will lead the administrative wing in the State during the polls with today’s order granting him extension in service. A day ago, the Centre had approved 8-month extension of State police chief DGP Ashish Bhatia who was also going to retired on 31st of May this year at the end of his earlier extended term.
