June 05, 2022
Bhuj: BSF Bhuj launched a joint search operation with Jakhau Marine Police near Jakhau port area & seized 49 packets of drugs (probably heroin) from Sayali creek. “Café Gourmet” is printed & “Blue Sapphire 555” is marked on the packaging of drugs.
It may be noted that, on intervening night of 30/31st May 2022, Coast Guard & ATS Gujarat Police seized a Pakistani boat near IMBL between Sir Creek & Jakhau Port, & detained all 07 Pakistani nationals aboard boat. During this operation, the boat’s crew dumped the drugs in the sea.
Assessing the situation, BSF Bhuj had foreseen that the drugs thrown into the sea by Pakistani boat could enter Indian side by sea waves coming from Pakistani side. Soon after the incident, BSF Bhuj was on high alert & launched search operations.
