Gujarat based hospital treats 107-year old lady through angioplasty

Ahmedabad: Marengo CIMS Hospital in Ahmedabad treated a 107-year old lady from Madhya Pradesh through angioplasty to restore the normal functioning of her heart after a heart attack.

The lady was brought to Marengo CIMS Hospital for treatment after she suffered a heart attack. Her angiography showed a severe 99% blockage of the arteries of the heart when she was brought to the hospital. The lady was mobile by herself within three hours of the procedure, states the hospital in a note.

The team, who treated the patient, was headed by Dr Keyur Parikh, Interventional Cardiologist and Chairman Marengo CIMS Hospital, assisted by Dr Chintan Sheth, Cardiac Anaesthesiologist.
