First Shram Niketan hostel for industrial laborers to come up in Sanand; MoU signed for the same

Sanand: The first Shram Niketan hostel for industrial laborers will come up at Sanand. An MoU was signed for the same today here in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. The hostel will come up under the Shram Niketan scheme of the State government. The scheme comes under the Labour, Skill Development and Employment department.
Such hostels, titled as Shram Niketan will come up in the industrial townships where more than 15,000 laborers are active.
As per the MoU, a Shramyogi hostel will come up in 4,138 square meter area in a seven storey building. It will have multipurpose hall, dining hall. It will come up at a cost of Rs. 10 crore. The project will be completed in public-private-partnership mode within 28 months.
The hostel will have capacity to accommodate more than 1,000 laborers. It will have single occupancy, double occupancy rooms for four, eight, twelve and twenty four persons. The MoU was today signed by the President of Sanand Industrial Association, Ajitbhai Shah and Welfare Commissioner of Gujarat government Digant Brahmbhatt. DeshGujarat
