Protest in Olpad over converting residential house into Church

Surat: The locals and Hindu bodies of Olpad protested over the making of a church in place of a residential house in Murli lake society in Olpad in Surat.

The Hindu residents of the society and local Hindu bodies gave a memorandum to the Olpad Prant office complaining about the illegal making of a church in place of a residential house. They stated in it that the area is known as the Hindu area as the Hindu population lives there for years. The Christians have started making a church in plot no 234 of Murli lake society in Olpad, they stated. They stated that they are not against any religion or sect, but it seems improper to do any religious or other activities by such kind of constructions despite not a single person of Christian community residing in the society and area.
