Valsad: Nanakvada Sarpanch, deputy Sarpanch suspended from posts after they were found violating Prohibition Act
The district development officer of Valsad, Manish Gurwani, has suspended Vinod Patel (sarpanch of Nanakvada village) and Dharmesh Patel (Deputy Sarpanch) from their posts after they were found enjoying liquor and non-vegetarian delicacies in gross violation of the Prohibition Act.
The suspension will remain in force till such time that the court doesn’t pronounce its judgement or till the end of the term of both the sarpanch as well as the deputy sarpanch, whichever is earlier. Elections for the post of Deputy Sarpanch in Nanakvada will be held on July 18.
