Mock Drill conducted at Ahmedabad Metro’s Gheekanta Station

Sabarmati: The fire and emergency department of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), Gujarat Police, EMRI, 108 and L&T collaboratively conducted an emergency mock drill at GheeKanta metro station today from 11 am to 12 pm.
The metro station staff conducted a rescue drill by emergency response following a possible fire accident due to mechanical malfunctioning in a metro coach 200 meters away from the metro station. The arrangement was made to respond to the accident safely in the least amount of time.
The rescue of 53 passengers and one train operator through the walkway and one through stretcher was conducted. The smoke stuck in the metro tunnel was evacuated through smoke ventilator system of metro station. DeshGujarat
