Gandhinagar; There has been a heavy discharge of water from Kadana dam in the downstream river bed. At 1.00 am today the outflow was over 2.11 lakh cusecs against inflow of over 2.37 lakh cusecs. At 9 am today it is over 99,000 cusecs against inflow of over 1 lakh.

Wanakbori dam had at 9 am today over 1.66 lakh cusecs outflow against over 1.67 lakh cusecs inflow at 9 am today. Wanakbori is 100 per cent full of its capacity. Kadana is around 90 per cent full.

Meanwhile in the wake of the situation of heavy outflow from Kadana dam, the administration has alerted low lying areas located on the bank of river Mahi in Vadodara district. Police bandobast has been deployed at Galteshwar bridge in this connection. Though now relocation is required at present, the administration has alerted the villagers of Lanchhanpur against venturing into river.Similar instructions are also given to villagers of Sindhrot and other places.
