Bharuch: Karjan police have booked Izhar Diwan (from Palej in Bharuch) for allegedly raping a female by blackmailing her by giving threats to make the photographs of her private parts viral on social media.

As per the complaint, the victim Hindu female studied a Hospital related course in 2020. The accused Izhar Kalusha Diwan was pursuing a Nursing course with her at that time. They became friends and eventually started an affair. They used to frequently talk over call. The accused Izhar forced her to show her private parts but the victim had refused. The accused then asked her to show her private parts over video call. He said that he would delete later and share with none. The victim had then shown her private parts to him on video call from the bathroom.

The accused Izhar then started blackmailing her on the basis of the screenshots captured by him during the video call. The accused came across her in a car two months ago when she was travelling to her home. He took her to an isolated place near Karjan bridge in the car. He then allegedly raped her by giving threats to share the photos with her parents and make them viral on socil media. The accused allegedly again raped her in A1 Guesthouse after calling her behind railway station when she was on duty.

The female shared about the incident with her parents. Her parents took her to Karjan police station and filed a complaint. Karjan police has started further investigation. DeshGujarat
