Hindu Woman Constable Raped, Cheated of Rs 17 Lakh in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: A case involving alleged fraud and sexual assault of a female police constable has come to light in the Gomtipur area of the city. The accused allegedly sexually assaulted the Hindu woman after promising to marry her and later defrauded her of lakhs of rupees in the name of stock market investments.

According to the complaint, the accused, identified as Majid Khan Chauhan, allegedly gained the woman’s trust by claiming to have connections with police personnel. He allegedly established a relationship with her on the promise of marriage and sexually assaulted her.

The accused also allegedly persuaded the constable to invest money in the stock market, through which she reportedly lost around ₹17 lakh.

The complaint further alleges that Chauhan pressured the woman to convert her religion. Police have registered a case based on the woman’s complaint and are investigating the allegations against the accused. DeshGujarat
