Birsa Munda statue vandalized at Kadana Dam

Gandhinagar: Ahead of the State assembly election which is likely to take place in December this year, there are apparent attempts to disturb the atmosphere in the State. So many agitations of government employees have popped up recently to fill the air with negativity regarding the government, for which political triggering is believed to be responsible.
On Sunday, tribal leader Birsa Munda’s statue was found vandalized by unknown persons at Kadana dam in tribal belt of Mahisagar district. The assembly seat in which this incident happened is Santrampur. Local tribals rushed and gathered at the place as soon as they heard about the incident. Now some outfits are planning a rally of Bhil tribals from across the tribal belt protesting this act. The District Collector has made an announcement that the statue will be erected again.
