Police lobs 3 tear gas shells to disperse protesting mob in Porbandar

Porbandar: Mobs of Muslims pelted stones over police, protesting the demolition drive against illegal constructions over public land. Police lobbed three rounds of teargas shells to disperse the mob today. A mob of local Muslims in Memanwada had protested against the demolition even on yesterday.
According to police, 8 illegal constructions on government land were demolished a day ago. The aspect of National Security was also involved while executing this operation. It’s worth noting that the packets of drugs are occasionally found on the coast of Saurashtra and Kutch recently. In one of cases in Hirakot in Gir Somnath district, it was found that illegal construction on the coast was used by an accused for storage of drugs in order to sell it later. Goasabara is same village where a consignment of weapons had landed way back before decades.
Police and administration have started demolition of some illegal constructions in coastal district of Devbhumi Dwarka, Porbandar and Gir Somnath. In Bet Dwarka, NDPS accused Ramzan Pilani’s illegal structure has also been demolished. Last month, illegal construction of Aminabibi, a major drug dealer in wall city area of Ahmedabad was also demolished after her arrest. DeshGujarat
