New Delhi: After taking over as President of Indian National Congress, Mallikarjun Kharge held a meeting of screening committee of party for selection of the names of candidates for upcoming Gujarat assembly election.

Leader of Opposition in State assembly, Sukhram Rathwa after the meeting in reply to media queries stated that names of candidates on 80 per cent of total 182 seats were finalized. He said that those seats for which only one name was chosen for candidature were finalized. Rathwa said the new president of Congress, Mr. Kharge would visit Gujarat on October 29. DeshGujarat
