Hardik Patel meets Amit Shah

Gandhinagar: BJP leader Hardik Patel called on union Home affairs minister Amitbhai Shah at latter’s Thaltej residence in Ahmedabad. Shah was on visit to home-State Gujarat on Diwali festival. Hardik who left Congress from the post of party’s Working President of Gujarat unit, joined ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) this year. He may seek ticket to contest the assembly polls. It is believed that he may wish to contest from his home-town Viramgam seat in Ahmedabad district which is presently occupied by Congress MLA Lakhabhai Bharwad. Hardik has stayed low profile since he joined BJP. It is for the first time that he has been seen with top BJP leader Amitbhai Shah. Five years ago in 2017, Hardik was positioned as the main challenger face against BJP in State assembly election, while Shah as then BJP national president was spearheading BJP’s campaign and strategy for Gujarat election.
