Gujarat BJP Parliamentary Board starts exercise for selection of candidates; 47 seats to be covered on day 01

Gandhinagar: Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is starting its State Election Committee’s meeting today, Thursday, 3rd November at the State party headquarters Shri Kamalam in Gandhinagar. The meeting along with the members of the State Election Committee is also going to be attended by union Home Affairs and Cooperation minister Amitbhai Shah. The meeting will take the decision on the panels of suitable candidates for all 182 assembly seats in the State. On the first day today, the discussion will be held for all assembly seats across 13 districts including Aravalli, Sabarkantha, Mahisagar, Banaskantha, Surendranagar, Porbandar, Dang, Valsad, Tapi, Narmada, Morbi, Rajkot district and Rajkot city. The total number of seats in these districts is 47. The party will hear the observers and district leaders before making the panels. The panels of suitable shortlisted candidates will be sent to the party’s Central Parliamentary Board in Delhi. The final names of candidates will be announced from the party’s national headquarters in Delhi. DeshGujarat
