Gandhinagar: The state government granted in-principle approval to the proposal of Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) to establish Gujarat Town Planning Consultancy Company under AUDA under the Company Act 2013.

The principal secretary/ additional principal secretary of the Urban Development and Urban Housing Department will be chairman of it. The Municipal Commissioner of AMC will be the vice chairman of it. The chief executive officer of AUDA will be the managing director of it. The commissioner of municipalities administration, chief executive officer (of VUDA, SUDA, RUDA and GUDA), chief town planner, of the town planning and evaluation department, and special duty officer of Urban Development and Urban Housing Department will be members of it.

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs of the central government has registered the company as Gujarat Town Planning Consultancy ltd. It will function as an autonomous company under AUDA. DeshGujarat
