Gandhinagar: Now common citizens can connect to the office of the Chief Minister of Gujarat directly through a Whatsapp number.

The Chief Minister’s office has started a Whatsapp number 7030930344 for the citizens to connect to the Chief Minister’s office.

According to a press release, Whatsapp Boat will provide the contact details for the appointment of the CM and to avail the benefit of CM Relief Fund. Through the ‘Write to CMO’ feature, the citizens will be able to send their suggestions and representation to CM.

On Good Governance Day, the Chief Minister also launched Visiters Management System (VMS) for the solution of problems of the people and related follow-up. The CM has also launched the ‘Urban Grievances Redressal Monitoring System’ (UGRMS) through which 8 Municipal Corporation websites are linked to the CM Dashboard for monitoring of online and offline complaints of citizens on the CM Dashboard.

As soon as the message is sent to this number by any citizen, an auto-generated message pops up in reply: ‘Thank you for registering with CMO Gujarat and providing consent to receive notifications using WhatsApp. We request you kindly save this number. You can reply with “STOP” anytime if you wish to stop communication through this channel.’
