Gandhinagar: A local court here has rejected the bail plea of the main accused arrested for sexual abuse and religious conversion offense.

A Hindu woman had filed a complaint against a Muslim cleric and six other persons. The lady is married, but as per her allegation, she was trapped in a relationship and wedded after her religious conversion. She was threatened and issued death threats also. The accused had also used a revolver to threaten the victim lady.

A complaint was filed by the victim Hindu lady later against Ismailkhan Badarkhan Malek (resident of Juhapura, originally from Gediya in Surendranagar district) and six other persons including a Muslim cleric. Police have arrested Ismail who is now in Judicial custody. DeshGujarat
