Gujarat Congress allots legislative group posts to 12 out of total 17 MLAs

Gandhinagar: Out of 17 MLAs elected to the State Assembly in the December 2022 general elections, the main opposition Congress party has allotted posts to 12 MLAs.
While Amit Chavda was made the leader of the Congress legislative group earlier, Dr. CJ Chavda has been made a whip of the Congress party in the State assembly. The other appointments announced today are:
Dr. Kirit Patel – Deputy whip
Vimal Chudasama – Deputy Whip
Imran Khedawala – Deputy Whip
Dinesh Thakor – Treasurer
Kanti Kharadi – Secretary
Dr. Tushar CHaudhary, Jignesh Mevani, Geniben Thakor, and Anantbhai Patel – Spokespersons
Among the MLAs left, Arjun Modhwdia had refused to take any post. Amrutji Thakor from Kankrej is the brother of Gujarat Congress chief Jagdish Thakor. Shailesh Parmar had held office in the previous terms. Arvind Ladani and Chirag Patel are not accommodated for any post. DeshGujarat
