Police seize plot worth Rs 3.38 crore of GujCTOC accused in Jamnagar

Jamnagar: The police have seized a plot worth Rs 3.38 crore belonging to one of the accused arrested under Gujarat Control of Terrorism and Organised Crime (GujCTOC) in Jamnagar.
Fourteen accused, including Jayesh Patel, were booked under GujCTOC in October 2020 in various cases of crime. The police had arrested all the accused except Jayesh Patel (who is nabbed in London) and two others. Five of them were released on bail.
As per the order of the state home department, the police have begun attaching the cash amount, bank accounts with cash, and properties purportedly purchased from the ransom amount of the accused about 1.5 years ago. The police have seized a plot in Jayant society owned by Yashpalsinh and Jashpalsinh Jadeja, over a dozen plots purportedly owned by one of the accused near Lalpur bypass, and six plots in Patel park purportedly owned by an accused named Sunil Changani.
According to the order of the home department, city DySP Varun Vasava, along with his staff, has taken proceedings to attach a 5460 square feet plot in plot no. 23 in survey no. 224,254 in the Jayant society area. The police have declared the plot to be worth Rs 3,38,58,000. DeshGujarat
