Una: Communital tension was felt in Una town after Kajal Hindustani’s ‘provocative’ speech against Muslims in this small town after the Ram Navami procession. Local Muslims had reacted strongly to this speech as a section of it went viral online. Senior police officials from the district headquarters rushed to Una after the incidents of stone pelting and chakka-jam. A peace committee meeting was held by the district police chief in presence of leaders of both communities and local legislators. Extra police bandobast was arranged in the town’s Kumbarwada, Vadla, Tower, Khai Bazar, etc areas. The extra police force of the State Reserve Police (SRP) was also called. Kajal Hindustani has been booked for her remarks in her speech. After two days of communal tension, the situation has normalized in Una. DeshGujarat
