Mehsana: A tanker driver emptied his chemical-filled truck into a pond in Visnagar and fled the scene, leaving behind a polluted body of water contaminated with acid-like substances.
The driver of tanker GJ-02-ZZ-3573 discharged the liquid into the pond near Deluxe Agro on Kamana Road before abandoning the vehicle and escaping the location.
The rapid discharge of the acid-like liquid has resulted in the pollution of the pond water, which could harm animals, birds, and humans who come into contact with it. FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) officials were alerted to the incident and conducted an inspection of the site. The Visnagar City police station has filed a complaint against the tanker driver following testing by FSL team.
The volatile nature of the liquid presents a significant danger to public health and could cause severe illnesses, including cancer and death. Authorities are currently searching for the absconding tanker driver. DeshGujarat
