Sabarmati: The Special GujCTOC court in Rajkot has ordered the transfer of notorious gangster Nikhil Donga from Palara Jail in Bhuj to the high-security zone of Sabarmati Jail in the city.
Nikhil Donga and 14 members of his gang were arrested under the GujCTOC Act for criminal activities. They had formed a gang while in jail and therefore sent to different prisons. Donga was sent to Palara jail in Bhuj, but he managed to escape when he was admitted to the Bhuj hospital for medical reasons. The police apprehended him in Nainital after a three-day search.
Following his arrest, Donga allegedly posted a message on social media, stating that he would teach a lesson after his release on October 31, 2022. The post went viral, prompting the police to seek his transfer to Sabarmati high-security zone from Palara jail in Bhuj. The court ordered his transfer to the high-security zone of Sabarmati Jail after rejecting his plea for a stay against the order. DeshGujarat
