AMTS and BRTS to raise bus fares for 1st time in 9 years
May 17, 2023
Amdavad: After a gap of nine years since 2014, the Amdavad Municipal Transport Service (AMTS) and Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) are considering increasing their fares. The fare hike is expected to range from Rs 2 to Rs 5 per ticket.
The civic body has proposed this increase due to the financial difficulties and losses faced by these transportation entities. The proposal to raise the ticket prices was made after a meeting between AMC Chief M Thennarasan and BJP councillors on Tuesday. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the financial situation of AMTS and BRTS. DeshGujarat
