Illegal shrine demolished inside Sajuba Girls School in Jamnagar

Jamnagar:  District authorities demolished an illegal shrine located within the premises of Sajuba Girls High School on Ranjt Road on June 3.

The shrine, known as Syed Jinnat Bibi Ma Nagani, had been constructed illegally and had become a source of disturbance for the schoolgirls due to the burning of incense and frankincense. The principal of the school had lodged complaints about this issue with the Jamnagar administration, and the Hindu organization ‘Hindu Sena’ had also demanded the removal of the unauthorized religious structure.

The operation took place under the supervision of SDM Bhavesh Kher, SP Premsukh Delun, Deputy SP Vaghela, SDM, Naib Mamlatdar, and other officers. The site was heavily guarded by around 400 police personnel from various police divisions, including the Jamnagar LCB, SOG Branch, and CT A, B, and C Division police stations.

Superintendent of Police Premsukh Delu confirmed that the authorities took action based on a memorandum received regarding the encroachment in Sajuba Girls High School, after verifying the case with the collector. He further mentioned that the administration is keeping a close watch on similar encroachments in the area. DeshGujarat
