Light rain is likely in parts of Gujarat on June 5; Wind warning for June 5-6

Gandhinagar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light thunderstorms/rains in parts of Gujarat on June 5. Strong surface winds 30-40 KMPH gusting to 50KMPH very likely to prevail over the Gujarat region and Saurashtra-Kutch during the period of June 5 and 6.
According to the IMD bulletin, “Light rain/thundershowers very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region namely Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Dang and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli,” on June 5th.
Issuing a wind warning the bulletin states “Strong surface winds 30-40 KMPH gusting to 50KMPH very likely to prevail over the districts of Gujarat region namely Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Gandhinagar, Ahmadabad, Sabar Kantha, over the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch namely Surendranagar, Rajkot, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Porbandar, Jamnagar, Morbi and Kutch,” on June 5 and 6.
According to the press release, Ahmedabad is likely to witness a clear sky. The Maximum temperature of the city is very likely to remain at 39 degrees Celsius.
