Surat Airport creates parking space for 6 more aircraft

Ahmedabad: Six newly developed parking slots for aircrafts at Surat Airport are likely to be available from 13th July 2023.
The Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has approved 18 parking bays Surat airport. With effect from 13th July, total parking spaces available at Surat airport will rise to 11, including 6 new and 5 existing parkings. 3 out of the 11 parking spaces will be kept reserved including 1 for VVIP movements and 2 for aviation related emergencies.
The airlines wishing to take a night halt at Surat airport for morning departure will be able to avail the facility. The ultimate plan is to create space for parking of total 18 planes. There’s a scope to develop another 7 parkings. SpiceJet airlines has been the first to book the night parking facility at Surat airport. DeshGujarat
