Floating restaurant Akshar River Cruise inaugurated in Ahmedabad

Sabarmati: Union Home Affairs and Cooperation minister Amit Shah today virtually inaugurated Akshar river cruise floating restaurant in Ahmedabad, a joint venture of Akshar Travels, Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) and Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation. A 162-capacity cruise will take the passengers on a one and half hour journey with a meal. In his address, Amit Shah noted that a floating restaurant has a sprinkler facility against fire, a life boat, life jackets and other facilities for safety. Addressing the inaugural function virtually, Amit Shah said he also wants to have a meal with his family on this cruise. He said he has decided that when he will visit Ahmedabad, he will have dinner on this cruise with the people of Ahmedabad.
Though the rates of the meal at this floating restaurant are officially not announced, it is learnt that lunch will cost Rs. 1200 while dinner Rs. 2500 per person.
