Vadodara: The local Hindus of Nagarwada locality in Vadodara have submitted a memorandum to the district collector regarding the sale of Dabhoi Dashalad Gnati Samast Dashalad Gruh Vadi to the Muslims. The locals said that Vadi building was like a wall between Hindus and neighboring Muslims populated areas in this sensitive locality.
The residents of Nagarwada have expressed their anger against the sale of Dabhoi Dashalad Gnati Samast Dashalad Gruh Vadi. They have alleged that the documents for the sale were obtained in violation of the charity commissioner’s order. They are demanding the cancellation of the documents. The locals have claimed that if no action is taken, they and their families will have to face forced migration from the area. They have even threatened to commit suicide if no action is taken.
Locals said in August 2021, the charity commissioner had granted permission for the sale with certain conditions when the trustees requested permission for the sale of the vadi. It was specified that the selling process must be completed within 6 months. However, the documents for the sale were prepared in April 2023 after receiving approval from the district collector.
