Over 350 diamond firms to start trading at Surat Diamond Bourse from 21st November this year

Surat: The world’s largest bourse will start functioning from 21st of November this year at Khajod in Surat. Total 350 companies are prepared to start diamond trade fro this bourse from 21st November. In addition to the companies that committed to start trading from this bourse earlier, additional 160 companies have agreed to start diamond trade from Khajod based bourse.
According to Dinesh Navadia, more companies are likely to send agreement letters to start their trade from Surat bourse.
According to Mathurbhai Savani, the Spokesperson of Bourse, the diamond companies will install Kumbh on upcoming Dussehra in their offices and start trading from 21st November.
Diamond industry sources indiecated that Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi may arrive on 21st November to inaugruate the bourse, the new facilities at the airport and more during his visit.
Interior works of offices across 5,65,729 square ft area are near completion. Surat Diamond bourse has 4600 offices that are constructed at a cost of Rs. 3,000 crore. So far 350 companies have committed to start trading from there.
According to Navadia, the faciliteis such as safe deposit volt, custom zone, bank and restaurant will also start from 21st November. According to sources, SUMUL dairy may start a master chef restaurant here. Amul will also open its outlet here.
The approval of custom clearance shall arrive soon according to sources. The procedure o customs inspection has completed. DeshGujarat
