July 20, 2023
Dwarka: Torrent Power Limited has successfully commissioned its 115 MW wind power project in the Devbhumi Dwarka. This project was executed through their wholly owned subsidiary, Torrent Solargen Limited.
Torrent Solargen has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), which, in turn, has a back-to-back power sale agreement with Haryana.
Despite facing challenges like the Covid-19 pandemic, changes in land allocation policy, and extreme weather conditions, the project was completed successfully, the company said in a media release. The wind turbines used for the project were supplied by GE.
With this latest addition of 115MW, Torrent Power’s installed renewable energy capacity has reached an impressive 1.18GW, while their total generation capacity now stands at 4.2GW. DeshGujarat
