Bharuch: 18 km long traffic jam was witnessed for hours on Bharuch – Surat national highway again on Tuesday, mainly due to the poor condition of service road of the bridge near Kharod chokdi. The road quality has worsen due to recent rains.

A truck driver said he had left Bharuch at 7 am and he could reach Valiya chokdi of Ankleshwar just across the river at 12 noon. Normally this much of distance would take half an hour or so to travel.

The traffic jam was mainly witnessed on Vadodara to Surat lane from Sardar bridge to Kharod. DeshGujarat
