When talked with party office bearers, Sandip Desai says in his complaint that he came to know that they too had received such covers with two typed letters and one pen drive. A local news channel had also relayed news regarding this which had caused defamation of CR Patil.
Desai in his complaint further stated – all allegations pertaining to corrupt practice were completely false and he believed there should be a probe into this for which he submitted an application in Surat city police’s crime branch. When probed, police traced the origin of the post, and found out that the covers were posted by Kosamba based Dipu Lalchand Yadav and Khumansinh Jashwantsinh Patel from post boxes located at railway stations at Bharuch and Palej. When questioned, they revealed that they were given these covers to post by BJP’s Umarpada taluka incharge and Tarsadi municipality’s former chief Rakeshsinh Ranjitsinh Solanki. Upset with this fact, the letter was typed and a viral video clip was put in pen drives in order to tarnish the image of Patil before the party leaders.
