Ten dead, another ten injured in road accident near Bagodara

Gandhinagar: Ten persons are feared to have lost their lives in an accident between truck and Chhota Hathi vehicles at Bavla – Bagodara highway of Gujarat today afternoon.

The accident took place as Chhota Hathi vehicle rammed into the back a truck which was in stationary mode due to puncture in tire.

“Today during the daytime, an incident occurred involving a truck that had been parked by the roadside due to a puncture. The incident involved a vehicle traveling from Rajkot to Ahmedabad, carrying passengers from Kheda village who had been on the road since the previous night. Tragically, the vehicle collided with the parked truck, resulting in the loss of several lives. The unfortunate accident claimed the lives of ten individuals, including five females, two males, and three children. We are currently conducting an investigation into the matter, and both the Regional Transport Office (RTO) and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) are actively engaged in the process. The total number of individuals present in the vehicle was 23, of whom two sustained severe injuries, some experienced minor injuries, and four emerged unharmed,” stated Ahmedabad SP Amit N. Vasava.

Gujarat Chief Minister in a tweet stated: The accident on Bavla-Bagodara highway in Ahmedabad district is heartbreaking. I pray that God rests the souls of those who lost their lives in this tragedy and speedy recovery of the injured. My condolences are with the bereaved families. DeshGujarat
