Attempt to derail train near Vadodara: Gujarat ATS joins probe

Vadodara: Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Gujarat Police has undertaken the investigation of the case of attempt to derail a train on the railway track between Varnama and Intola near Vadodara.
A team of ATS including a PSI conducted an on-site investigation of the case for two and a half hours in Vadodara yesterday. Several accused allegedly made a plan of flipping a train by setting a metal fencing pole on the railway track between Varnama and Intola 3 days ago.
The ATS team visited the spot of the incident on the railway track. The team conducted an investigation at the spot across 2 kms. ATS also studied the data of previously nabbed accused, mobile phones present at the spot of the incident, and technical data. ATS team also conducted an inquiry of 12 workers working around Varnama – Intola railway track. The Railway Police have also joined the investigation of the case along with Varnama police and ATS.
