Desalination plant for BSF jawans by BARC dedicated in Kutch

Kutch: A desalination facility established in the creek area of Kutch by the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) for the Border Security Force (BSF) was inaugurated on Friday.
A desalination (water purification) plant was jointly inaugurated by Sh. Ravi Gandhi, IG BSF Gujarat, and Dr. K.T. Shenoy, Director, ChEG, BARC, at Lakki Nala and Lakhpatwari Post in the Creek region of Bhuj, in the presence of officials from BARC, BSF, and the district administration, said the official statement of BSF.
The desalination plants, constructed at a cost of Rs 1.60 Crores by BARC, will provide clean drinking water to forward-deployed troops and the border populace. The installation of this facility will not only eliminate the need for water tankers from distant sources but also save time and money. DeshGujarat
