“250 of 4000 Offices Now Operational at Surat Diamond Bourse”

Surat: Business activity at the Surat Diamond Bourse (SDB) is witnessing a steady rise, with claims that around 250 offices have now become operational within the sprawling complex.
Out of the total 4,000 offices at SDB, nearly 100 new traders reportedly commenced operations on February 18, adding to the previously functional 150 offices. This has taken the total number of active offices to approximately 250, signaling renewed momentum in the diamond trading ecosystem.
Brokers Form Association for Streamlined Operations
With increasing participation, brokers have formed the Surat Diamond Brokers Association (SDBA) to streamline business activities at the bourse.
According to Laljibhai Patel, Vice Chairman of SDB, the association has launched a WhatsApp helpline group to assist brokers facing commuting or operational challenges. In a single day, around 950 brokers reportedly joined the digital group, reflecting growing engagement.
Currently, more than 600 brokers are said to be visiting SDB daily and actively facilitating diamond transactions among traders.
Holy Footsteps of Gachchadhipati Shri
The premises turned spiritually vibrant on Tuesday morning as the holy footsteps of Abhaydevsurishwarji Maharaj Saheb graced the bourse during an auspicious Mangal Muhurat at 6:30 am. Members of the Surat Diamond Brokers Association welcomed the revered Jain Acharya with enthusiasm, marking the occasion as spiritually significant for the business community.
