Swaminarayan saint now distorting Lakshman’s vanvas with Ram-Sita; Video goes viral
September 02, 2023
Rajkot: The controversy surrounding the murals in the Salangpur Hanuman temple, managed by Vadtal Swaminarayan, is intensifying with each passing day. Now, another video featuring another Swaminarayan saint is doing rounds in the mainstream and social media. In this viral video from the BAPS branch of the Swaminarayan sect, a saint can be heard making controversial remarks about Goddess Sita.
A controversial video of Apoorva Muni Swami from the Kalavad Road Swaminarayan Temple is seen is one more example of how the Swaminarayan sect’s sadhus distort the Hindu faith. In the video, he can be heard telling a fictitious tale – “when Sita heard Ram’s scream in the jungle, she told Lakshman to go and help his brother. However, Lakshman responded by saying that by taking just the name of his brother (Ram), all problems go away, so how could his brother be in trouble? Upon hearing this, Sita accused Lakshman of roaming with them (Ram and Sita) for 13 years because he wanted Ram to die so he (Lakshman) could marry Sita. Sita said that I would rather die than marry you.”
Currently, as saints and Hindu organizations across the state express their anger over the murals, this controversial video, which has now widely circulated, could potentially escalate the matter further. DeshGujarat
