Single PNR air tickers for international journey after Air Asia, Air India Express merger

Gandhinagar: Air India Express will issue single PNR numbered tickets for the international flights from 40 domestic destinations across India.
Tata group is going to merge Air Asia into Air India Express and Vistara into Air India. Air India Express, prior to merger, has announced to issue single PNR Tickets for the international flights from 40 domestic destinations across India. The passengers of the international flights, from the destinations from where the Air Asia flights are operated, will get a single PNR ticket.
For an example, Air Asia operates flights to Delhi and Bangalore from Surat airport. The passengers from Delhi and Bengaluru, willing to reach Sharjah via Surat, will get a single PNR ticket for an Air Asia flight of Surat-Sharjah.
After the merger plans, Air Asia will merge into Air India Express and Vistara will merge into Air India. Tata group will operate only two airlines namely Air India and Air India Express after the merger plan. The merger plan is likely to be executed by November or December 2023. DeshGujarat
