Panchmahal: Special Operation Group (SOG) police nabbed Mustak Padva from Vejalpur in Kalol taluka of Panchmahal, for traveling to a foreign country using a passport with a fake name.
Mustak Hussainbhai Padva, residing in Mota Maholla, Vejalpur, runs Usmania Tours & Travels here in town. SOG received information that he had traveled to a foreign country using a passport obtained with the help of a fake name on an Aadhaar card. SOG verified his documents at the regional passport office in Ahmedabad and found that he had submitted an Aadhaar card with the fake name Mustakim Hussain Padva to obtain a passport. SOG conducted a raid at his office, Usmania Tours & Travels, located at Ekta Complex on the Vejalpur Godhra highway, and nabbed him from there.
During the investigation, the police learned that he was unable to obtain a passport due to having three criminal cases against him at Vejalpur police station. To acquire a passport, he obtained an Aadhaar card with a fake name from an agent in Vadodara named Soyeb, after paying him Rs 5 thousand. Using the Aadhaar card with a fake name, he acquired an Indian passport valid from 2022 to 2032. He used this passport to travel to Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia for Hajj and Umrah twice, once in January 2023 and again in May 2023. DeshGujarat
