Extremely heavy rainfall expected in parts of Gujarat in next 5 days

Ahmedabad: The movement of a low-pressure area in the Arabian Sea is expected to bring heavy rains to the state of Gujarat over the next five days. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a forecast of extremely heavy to heavy rainfall in some places in state during September 16th to 19th.

Weather Warning for the Next 5 Days in Gujarat

On September 16th, exceptionally heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places in the Dahod district. Chhota Udepur and Narmada, marked in red, are also under a warning for extremely heavy rainfall.

Surat, Tapi, Dang, Mahisagar, Panchmahal, and Vadodara are under an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall.

Banaskantha, Aravalli, Kheda, Anand, Bharuch, Navsari, Daman, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli are marked in yellow, indicating the possibility of heavy rainfall. All other districts may experience light to moderate rain.

On September 17th, Dahod in central Gujarat has been marked in red, meaning that extremely heavy rainfall may occur there.

Aravalli, Mahisagar, Panchmahal, and Chhota Udepur are under an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall.

Districts like Banaskantha, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Kheda, Anand, Vadodara, Botad, Bhavnagar, Bharuch, Surat, Narmada, and Tapi are marked in yellow, indicating a likelihood of heavy rainfall. All other districts may receive light to moderate rain.

On September 18th, Patan and Mehsana in North Gujarat has been marked in red, meaning that extremely heavy rainfall may occur there.

Kutch, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha and Gandhinagar are under an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall.

Districts like Ahmedabad, Kheda, Anand, Arvalli, Morbi, and Surendranagar are marked in yellow, indicating a likelihood of heavy rainfall. All other districts may receive light to moderate rain.

On September 19th, Kutch, Banaskantha, Patan and Morbi are under an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall.
