Sumul Dairy hikes payment of milk producers on PM’s birthday

Surat: Sumul Dairy, on the 73rd birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 17th September 2023, announced a pay hike of Rs 20 per kg fat for buffalo milk and Rs 15 per kg fat for cow milk for the 2.50 lakh cattle owners of Surat and Tapi districts.
Sumul Dairy, with a pay hike of Rs 20 per kg fat, will pay Rs 830 per kg fat for buffalo milk to the cattle owners. Similarly, the dairy will pay Rs 795 per kg fat for cow milk considering a pay hike of Rs 15 per kg fat. The decision will benefit 2.50 lakh cattle owners of Surat and Tapi associated with Sumul dairy. They will get an additional income of over Rs 60 crore.
Sumul Dairy has paid Rs 300 crore out of a loan of Rs 450 crore within the last 2 years, informed Sumul Dairy chairman Mansinh Patel. The annual installment of the loan has dropped to Rs 35 crore from Rs 80 crore due to the same. DeshGujarat
