Union minister visits India’s first Hydrogen Dispensing Station in Gujarat

Vadodara: Minister of State for Commerce & Industry Som Prakash and local LokS abha member Ranjanben Bhatt visited the first Hydrogen Dispensing Station of the country at the Gujarat refinery in Vadodara recently.
Gujarat Refinery of Indian Oil Corporation established a Hydrogen Dispensing Unit last year. Petroleum and Explosive Safety Organisation (PESO) granted approval to the unit. The unit has a capacity of fueling 25 vehicles daily on an 8-hour basis with hydrogen. The fuel cell can also refuel the EV buses, having a capacity of 20 kg of hydrogen at a pressure of 350 bars.
Minister of State for Commerce & Industry Som Prakash had a meeting with PESO joint chief controller Dr. R Venugopal and Gujarat Refinery executive director Rahul Prashant and other officials during the visit. DeshGujarat
