PM Modi likely to inaugurate Malsar river bridge during Gujarat visit

Vadodara: Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi is likely to open a newly constructed river bridge over river Narmada at Malsar virtually from his public function at Bodeli on September 27. The bridge has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 225 crore. It’s a 3.5 km long and 16 meter wide bridge which makes it easy to go from Vadodara to Netrang, Dediapada and Maharashtra.

The bridge had suffered some damages on its approach due to flood in river Narmada recently which are being repaired at present. The bridge has been constructed by a private firm SP Singla after three years. It was ready after construction around five months ago. The government was preparing for its opening, however after a bridge tragedy in Bihar, the government had ordered re-checking of all newly constructed bridges by the same firm and therefore the inauguration had delayed.

The bridge is important for smooth travel and transportation connecting three districts. DeshGujarat
