Ventura Air Connect Aircraft grounded after tyre deflate incident

Surat: An airplane of Ventura Air Connect will remain grounded till the end of DGCA inquiry after its tyre burst during landing on Friday. Ventura, a Surat headquartered intra-state air operator has multiple aircrafts. The other aircrafts are continuing their services.

The tyre of a 9-seater airplane of Ventura air-connect burst while landing on Surat airport after it took off from Ahmedabad domestic airport at 8 pm. The run-way was closed for 2 hours after the incident. The airplane had 6 passengers in it. However, no injuries were reported in the incident.

The Airport Authority has recommended an investigation by the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) over the incident. The airplane will remain grounded till the end of the inquiry.

The pilot of the airplane informed air traffic control (ATC) about the incident. ATC conveyed the matter to the fire department and ordered to carry the airplane to apron parking after towing it. The emergency response team of Surat airport has done photography and videography of the incident. They also got the CCTV footage of the incident.

As per the report, the air expelled from the tyre and there was no smoke from engine or tyre. As per the primary report of the Airport Authority, there was no significant damage to the aircraft and runway. DeshGujarat
