Veraval: The Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), S. P. Somanath, is on visit to Gujarat. During his trip to the state, Somanath visited the renowned Somnath Temple in Prabhas Patan of Saurashtra region.

Somanath performed Mahapuja at Jyotirlinga Somnath mandir and sought the blessings of Somnath Mahadev. The ISRO chairman was welcomed at Veraval Railway Station by the Dy. Collector Bhumika R. Vataliya, District Panchayat President, Manjula Ben Uchal, and District BJP President, Mahendra R. Pithiya, among others.

ISRO recently launched the lunar mission Chandrayaan 3 and the Solar Mission Aditya L1 successfully. The ISRO chairman has visited several temples to seek blessings after the successful launch of these missions.

Somanath had earlier visited the BhadraKali Temple in Thiruvananthapuram after Chandrayaan-3’s gentle landing on the Moon’s southern pole and the Sri Chengalamma Parameshwari temple in Andhra Pradesh prior to the launch of Aditya-L1. DeshGujarat
