Gandhinagar: A Garba song written by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, called ‘Gaye Teno Garbo,’ has been transformed into a song by singer Dhvani Bhanushali and music composer Tanishk Bagchi. Produced by actor and filmmaker Jackky Bhagnani and Jjust Music, the Garba video song brings the lyrics penned by the PM to life.
Sharing a clip from the song, singer Dhvani Bhanushali wrote on Twitter, “Dear Narendra Modi Ji, Tanishk Bagchi and I loved Garba penned by you and we wanted to make a song with a fresh rhythm, composition and flavour. Jjust Music helped us bring this song and video to life.”
“I hope your poetic notes will resonate more vibrantly through this rendition. Wishing you a Happy Navratri!” she added.
Replying to the tweet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote, “Thank you Dhvani , Tanishk Bagchi and the team of Jjust Music for this lovely rendition of a Garba I had penned years ago! It does bring back many memories. I have not written for many years now but I did manage to write a new Garba over the last few days, which I will share during Navratri. #SoulfulGarba”

Arvind Vegda, a well-known Gujarati singer known for the song ‘Bhai Bhai,’ has also released a song from the collection of poetry by Prime Minister Modi. Vegda has lent his voice to a song titled ‘Madi Mane Daivat Deje,’ which was penned by PM Modi. The song is composed by Yogesh Gadhvi, with music by Amit Barot. The song is taken from PM Modi’s book called ‘Aankh Aa Dhanya Chhe.’
Vegda, talking about the song, said, “The most special thing about the song is that it has been written by PM Modi. The song was written by PM Modi when he was 36 years old and used to travel to many places. Later, he released the song in a book when he became the Chief Minister of Gujarat. From that writing, we composed this Dakla, which was a challenging task as people know me for my funky songs. It was a challenge for us to do justice to the song. We will have all the fun during Navratri, but we have also presented this song to pay homage to Mata Ji. We have created this song so that it reaches people who perform Garba to this song.”
In 2013, famous Gujarati singer Devang Patel also sang a Garba song written by PM Modi. The Garba song, ‘Ghoome Eno Garbo,’ written by Shri Narendra Modi, was composed by Devang Patel. Devang Patel, Hemant Chauhan, Musa Paik, Priti-Pinki, Shruti Pathak, and Aishwarya Majumdar lent their voices to this song, which was a part of the album “Nache Gujarat.” The song was released in January 2013 at the Vibrant Gujarat event.
Lyrics of the song are :
Gaay teno garbo ne jheele teno garbo,
Garbo Gujarat ni garvi miraat chhe.
Ghume teno garbo to jhoome teno garbo,
Garbo Gujarat ni garvi miraat chhe.
Surya chandra garbo ne traktuo pan garbo,
Garbo Gujarat ni garvi miraat chhe.
Tandu dolave ne, manadu jumavto
Savne re gamto garbo
Radiyari rato main lage radiyamno
Ramto ne bhamto garbo…. Ke ghumto..
Hey hayya haa, hey hayya haa.
Ohooo hoo hoo hoo hooo
Divas pan garbo ne raat pan garbo
Garbo Gujarat ni garvi miraat chhe.
Sanskruti garbo ne prakruti garbo
Vaansadi chhe garbo, morpeench garbo.
Garbo mati chhe, garbo sehmati
Veerno ae garbo, ameerno ae garbo.
Kaya pan garbo ne jeev pan garbo,
Garbo jeevan ni halvi niraat chhe.
Garbo sati chhe ne garbo gati chhe
Garbo naari ni fool ni bichhaat chhe.
Tandu dolave ne, manadu jumavto
Savne re gamto garbo
Radiyari rato main lage radiyamno
Ramto ne bhamto garbo…. Ke ghumto..
Garbo to sat chhe ne garbo akshat chhe
Garbo matajinu kanku radiyaat chhe (2)
Avv ma garbo, swabhav ma garbo
Bhakti che garbo, haan shakti che garbo (2)
