Amreli MP faces controversy over alleged threats to Savarkundla Municipality Vice-President

Amreli: Lok Sabha MP Naranbhai Kachhadiya is embroiled in a controversy for allegedly making threatening phone calls to Prateek Nakrani, the Vice-Chairman of Savarkundla Municipality. The dispute originated from Nakrani’s complaints about road construction projects in Savarkundla, which were purportedly carried out by a company linked to Kachhadiya’s son-in-law.

A 90-second audio clip of a conversation between MP Kachhadiya and Prateek Nakrani has gone viral on social media. In the recording, Naran Kachhadiya advises Nakrani, who is associated with the municipality, to act accordingly. He mentions that Katha Construction is owned by his son-in-law and cautions against opposing this connection.

During a media interview, Nakarani revealed that he assumed his role only a month and a half ago. He received numerous complaints about the deteriorating condition of the CC Road in Savarkundla main market, which had been constructed just a year ago. Following discussions with the chief officer and the engineer, Nakarani learned that the documentation for the road work was unavailable, and the work was allegedly linked to Katha Construction, as conveyed by Naranbhai. MP Kachhadiya has refrained from commenting on the issue thus far. DeshGujarat
