The Regional Science Centers align with the theme of “Connecting People to Science and Science to People”.
GUJCOST to establish four additional Regional Science Centers in the future
GUJCOST is poised to establish four additional Regional Science Centers in Vadodara, Surat, Jamnagar, and Junagadh, marking them as pivotal hubs for scientific education, interactive exhibits, workshops, and educational programs. These upcoming centers will play a crucial role in cultivating a culture of scientific curiosity and inquiry among the younger generation, nurturing a foundation for future learners and leaders.
Furthermore, GUJCOST has initiated the functioning of District Science Centers in 23 districts of the state, aiming to provide a local platform for children and citizens, ensuring convenient access to scientific experiences and educational resources.
The collaboration between District Science Centers, Regional Science Centers, and Gujarat Science City stands as a role model of science promotion, aligning with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s Digital India Mission.
Promoting science and technology at the grassroots level is integral to the economic and technological advancement of the state. Establishing a society that is scientifically literate and innovative will propel Gujarat’s progress across various sectors, encompassing agriculture, industry, healthcare, and environmental sustainability.
The Regional Science Centers are on a trajectory to become the knowledge hubs of the state, emerging as premier destinations for science and technology research and advancing scientific tourism. DeshGujarat
