Ahmedabad: The world’s largest stadium here in the city is hosting the India vs Australia cricket World Cup final today, and celebrities from all walks of life are in Ahmedabad to witness this epic clash unfolding here.

The celebs were welcomed at the SVPI airport with dhol-nagara. This morning, celebrities, including master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, businessman Lakshmi Mittal, and actor Manoj Joshi, arrived. In an interview with the media at the airport, Sachin Tendulkar expressed confidence that India would lift the World Cup trophy today.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah was also seen in the stands as the match commenced. Prime Minister Modi and the Deputy Prime Minister of Australia are expected to arrive around 5 pm to witness the match.

Ritika Sajdeh, wife of Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, Bollywood actress and Virat Kohli’s spouse Anushka Sharma, K.L. Rahul’s wife, Athiya Shetty, MLA and wife Ravindra Jadeja Rivaba Jadeja, and others were also seen in the stadium cheering for their husbands as they play against Aussies.
